Privacy
This agreement was last updated on May 22, 2008.
Your privacy is as important to us as it is to you.
The following document describes in detail the Privacy Policy for the Business Arts® Web site (the “Site”). If you have objections to this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the site. By accessing and using the Site, you are agreeing to the policies outlined below. Note that this policy may be updated from time to time; please check back periodically for changes.
1. Collection of Anonymous Information
Business Arts collects Anonymous Information about site usage at Business Arts to help analyze web traffic statistics. This information is used to refine and improve the website and guide marketing efforts.
2. Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
Personally Identifiable Information is collected during the purchase process. Information necessary to complete a purchase is requested via forms in the web store, cart, and checkout pages and is stored as session data on the server. If the user successfully completes a purchase through the web store, all session and cart data is immediately removed. If the user inputs personal information into some or all of the forms but does not complete the purchase transaction, session data will be stored for a period lasting one week following the user’s last access of the web store, and will then automatically expire and be purged.
3. Sharing of information
Business Arts, Inc. will not share your information with anyone for any purpose other than processing online purchase transactions.
During the credit card authorization, purchasing data is sent to the credit card gateway (CyberSource Corporation) and processor (Vital Processing Services, LLC), which will be stored in their respective databases for an amount of time determined by their privacy policy or corporate policy. In addition, the builders/administrators of our e-commerce engine (Megagram and Conceptual Arc, LLC) also have access to user data.
Following the purchase transaction, some Personally Identifiable Information may be sent via email to the order fulfillment and accounting departments within Business Arts, Inc., and may also be included in order confirmation or invoice e-mail messages sent to customers. Under no circumstances are credit card numbers or expiration dates sent via email.
The entities that have access to data generated by the user/visitor are: Business Arts, Megagram, Conceptual Arc, LLC, CyberSource Corporation, and Vital Processing Services, LLC.
4. Security
Business Arts uses industry standard security technology to protect the security, integrity, and privacy of Personal Identifying Information from unauthorized third-party access. For instance, SSL-encryption is used in certain areas of the site to protect data from theft or interception while being transmitted. In addition, server data resides behind a firewall with access restricted to authorized Business Arts, Inc. employees and their agents.
We store absolutely no credit card numbers or CVV values on the server in any database whatsoever.
5. Cookies
In order to enhance and support the user experience at the site, we set and access cookies on your computer. (A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive.)
Cookies are used for two purposes: statistic tracking (helps the statistic analysis system track repeat site visits) and cart sessions (links the user to their cart and session data). The statistic tracking is kept indefinitely, but the cart session expires upon browser close. Neither cookie uses Personally Identifiable Information. Each cookie tracks the user uniquely as an individual, but does not track any personally identifiable information. Both cookies are simply a random number that is linked to something else in the database.
6. How to opt out of informational correspondence from Business Arts.
From time to time, Business Arts, Inc. may send information to customers regarding product updates, additional services, and other information that may be useful to you. We don’t like getting unsolicited e-mail any more than you do and promise to keep any such correspondence to a minimum. If you prefer, you may opt out of receiving communications from Business Arts regarding ProjectSheet or other products and services by sending an e-mail with your contact information to optout@Business Arts
